
Church Administrator Vacancy
We are seeking to appoint a SELF-EMPLOYED individual with the appropriate knowledge and skills to provide administrative services for St. James' Methodist Church, Pensnett commencing 1st September 2026.
Brief overview of role:
Deal with church bookings and lettings
Maintain church diary/online calendar
Update & maintain church website
Respond to online enquiries via website and social media
Create and upload social media posts for church events and activities
Compile monthly church newsletter (hard copies and upload to website)
Record & analyse financial transactions with the support of our financial consultant and assist with the provision of data for financial reporting & annual returns.
The successful individual could work from home or in the church hall office. All equipment necessary to undertake the role will be provided. Full support into the role will be provided.
The successful individual will work closely with the church stewards, church council secretary and property stewards.
Hours: 8-10hrs per week (the successful individual will manage their own time but ensure key targets/information is provided in a timely manner).
Remuneration: above the National Living Wage (approx. £400 - £500 per month depending upon experience)
